My wife and I welcomed our new son, Cameron Alan Chase, into the world on Tuesday, July 29th at 8:24pm. Thanks to the aid of several web-based applications, we were able to quickly announce to the world our exciting news in a lot of really effective ways. For other parents-to-be, here’s a quick guide to the fantastic services we used to share our excitement:

Our Murder Mystery Party was a success! Ended up with about 25 people at the party and everyone seemed to have a great time. I’d recommend it to anyone else thinking for something different for a Halloween party. It was easy to decorate and run. Here’s me and the wife in our “host and hostess” outfits. Lots of fun.
The Orlando show was the best NIN show I’ve ever seen (this was my 5th show). The new lineup sounded excellent and the performances were fantastic. The sound quality on-stage was really spectacular – i’ve never heard an arena sound so clear and powerful. The setlist was a great sampling of the discography. Lighting and stage setup was really cool. The show was my wife’s first NIN experience and she ranks it as one of the best shows she’s ever seen. Alex (the drummer) did a superb job for jumping on mid-tour.
Standout moments:
So I was involved in a car accident yesterday. A guy hydroplaned into the back of my new ’05 Mazda 6. His insurance should cover repairs, but it’s a pain to have to deal with all of that.
I also served as a juror yesterday for the first time, and together with 5 other strangers, convicted a man of attempted first degree murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and discharging a firearm in public.
It was a long day.

So another birthday has come and gone. 26 years now. Had a nice weekend with family and friends. Also got the DualDisc version of the new NIN, “With Teeth” which I am anxious to listen to in 5.1 surround. Also got a sweet gift from the wife and mom.
